Optimising Management of

چکیده
Diabetic dyslipidemia is characterised by high plasma triglycerides (TG), low highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and increased small dense low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) particles. Obesity, poor glycaemic control, high fat low fibre diet, and smoking increase the risk of dyslipidemia in type 2 diabetes. Recent published reports have suggested beneficial effect of nutraceutical and functional foods, and offer a cost effective alternative in the management of dyslipidemia. Our report presents effective management of dyslipidemia in type 2 diabetics with lifestyle modifications and strict adherence to pharmacological interventions.

Optimisation of wire-cut EDM process parameter by Grey-based response surface methodology
Wire electric discharge machining (WEDM) is one of the advanced machining processes. Response surface methodology coupled with Grey relation analysis method has been proposed and used to optimise the machining parameters of WEDM. A face centred cubic design is used for conducting experiments on high speed steel (HSS) M2 grade workpiece material. The regression model of significant factors such ...

Jacqui Fletcher is Principal Lecturer, University of Hertfordshire, and Tissue Viability Nurse for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust In the UK and Ireland, many patients with wounds are managed without clear treatment goals or obvious pathways of care, since many healthcare providers have not committed to clear protocols that provide wound management guidance. In order to set minimum stand...
متن کاملA reliability-based maintenance technicians’ workloads optimisation model with stochastic consideration
The growing interest in technicians’ workloads research is probably associated with the recent surge in competition. This was prompted by unprecedented technological development that triggers changes in customer tastes and preferences for industrial goods. In a quest for business improvement, this worldwide intense competition in industries has stimulated theories and practical frameworks that ...
متن کاملA Model-Based Approach to the Autonomic Management of Mobile Robot Resources
Mobile robots are increasingly used in applications as diverse as space exploration, rescue missions, automatic floor cleaning in buildings and factories, and mobile surveillance systems. However, one major challenge encountered in the development of applications involving mobile robots is the limited amount of resources that these devices have at their disposal. Effective use of mobile robot r...
متن کاملOptimising UK urban road verge contributions to biodiversity and ecosystem services with cost-effective management.
Urban road verges can contain significant biodiversity, contribute to structural connectivity between other urban greenspaces, and due to their proximity to road traffic are well placed to provide ecosystem services. Using the UK as a case study we review and critically evaluate a broad range of evidence to assess how this considerable potential can be enhanced despite financial, contractual an...
